I started Maskedbadger Inc at the end of 2009 after 13 successful and rewarding years as a Drama teacher in Western Australia. While my career was dedicated to theatrical production, it's become apparent that many other schools are scaling back their offerings because of budget constraints, increasing teacher workloads and a lack of experienced staff. At the same time, after-school programs offered in Perth focus heavily on individuality and personal expression rather than teaching a formal theatre company approach.
It is my mission to change this situation and create real, exciting and affordable theatre opportunities for young people who want to produce quality work. Maskedbadger is unique in that it offers a collection of complete production training and management services for young people, their parents and schools.
